Looking for natural alternatives
CBD has hit the market hard since the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, which was great news for those of us looking for natural alternatives to prescription medications or over-the-counter remedies. There has been a reported explosion in growth, production, selection of products, and consumer demand. CBD is largely known for anxiety and pain relief, as well as muscle-relaxing properties, however, studies suggest this plant-derived natural remedy may also have additional health benefits.
Anxiety relief and more
With consumer use rapidly growing, research and clinical studies are also on the rise. A recently published study on CBD for anxiety concluded that:
“Current understanding of the physiology and neurologic pathways points to a benefit with anxiety-related issues. The results of our clinical report support the existing scientific evidence. In our study, we saw no evidence of a safety issue that would limit future studies. In this evaluation, CBD appears to be better tolerated than routine psychiatric medications. Furthermore, CBD displays promise as a tool for reducing anxiety in clinical populations…” (January 2019)
Additional trials and clinical studies were suggested to further confirm findings. Still, this study echoes past findings from research conducted and published over many years, some as far back as 2001. A very interesting study published by Pisanti, Malfitano, Ciaglia, and Lambert in February 2017, and later included in a World Health Organization (WHO) report November 2017, lists a number of diseases for which CBD may have therapeutic benefits. The list includes Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s, Hypoxia-ischemia injury, Depression, Cancer, Nausea, Inflammatory bowel and Crohn’s, Cardiovascular and Diabetic complications. Murphy’s Natural Hemp Pairs CBD & Curcumin for increased health benefits
Murphy’s Natural Hemp pairs the benefits of CBD with the powerhouse spice, Curcumin. Curcumin is receiving worldwide attention due to its multiple health benefits, which appear to act primarily through its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanisms. It is one of the main ingredients of turmeric powder, which is harvested from the turmeric plant by grinding up its root. Curcumin has shown promising effects in patients with various pro-inflammatory diseases including cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, ulcerative proctitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel disease, peptic ulcer, gastric ulcer, gastric inflammation, psoriasis, and lupus.
One of the main challenges with CBD and Curcumin is guaranteeing the bioavailability of the active ingredients, especially when they have limited gastrointestinal permeability. To improve aqueous solubility, and thus the therapeutic effectiveness of these compounds, we researched countless formulation strategies, and were successful in finding a solution! Murphy’s Natural Hemp products are designed with pharmaceutical technology that is typically used where circumstances demand increasing vital water-insoluble proteins for patients who are dealing with illnesses.
Unlike other CBD formulas, there is no nano complex in our solution, which only disperses small nano-size clusters of CBD molecules in an otherwise insoluble mixture. Eventually, all nano products separate, like oil and water… and, they show no improvement for increasing bioavailability. And our products are made with 100% purified water, unlike oil-based CBD products offered by other companies. This is what makes our products stand out among the rest. 99% of our product is absorbed by the body. Only 10% of CBD is absorbed using the leading oil-based products.
